Overview

Travel is the movement of people between relatively distant geographical locations, and can involve travel by foot, bicycle, automobile, train, boat, bus, airplane, or other means, with or without luggage, and can be one way or round trip. Travel can also include relatively short stays between successive movements.

The origin of the word “travel” is most likely lost to history. The term “travel” may originate from the Old French word travail, which means ‘work’. According to the Merriam Webster dictionary, the first known use of the word travel was in the 14th century.

Itinerary

We will start our journey from Marrakech heading to our destination Dades. We will travel across TiziNTichka pass 2260 meters. It is a nice panoramic, impressive view which offers us rich opportunities to have some fabulous, memorable pictures. Afterwards, we continue our trip driving to UNESCO heritage, Kasbah AitBenhaddou, which is one of the most exotic and best-preserved Kasbahs in the entire Atlas region. After having our lunch in the Kasbah, we will tour around this historical castle to discover its sceneries, and then we continue our route towards DadesValley through Ouarzazate, Skoura enjoying the fantastic valley of BoumalneDades where we will spend the night in a Riad/Hotel.

After having breakfast in Riad, we say farewell to Dades gorges driving to Sahara Desert.One of our stops will be Todra Gorges. After so, we travel to join the desert of Erg Chebbi in Merzouga. Alongside the way we will see numerous Berber villages; we go through Tinjdad, Melaab, also we will pass through Erfoud city, Rissani, and finally arrive to our guest house in Merzouga. After relaxing for a while enjoying a glass of mint tea (Berber hospitality), you go on camel ridefor a desert adventure through sand dunes. In the camp you will have tea, dinner, then some local music done by camel men and camp staff. For calm lovers, they can go for a walk and sit on dunes watching stars, moon and enjoying the silence of desert. Berber tents are at your disposal to sleep whenever you feel tired.

Wake up early dawn to see the beauty of sunrise in the desert. Subsequently, you take camel back to the hotel. After having breakfast and shower, you have free day around, you will have a unique opportunity to visit the Gnaoua village “black people” originated and derived from Mali, Niger…They will entertain you with their authentic instruments. After having fun with Gnaoua, we drive to Rissani city to see the largest market of the region “if it is day market (Tuesday; Thurday or Sunday). People from all surrounding areas come to this city to buy their life requirements. Lunch is in this city “Rissani”. Afterwards, we go back to Merzouga. overnight in a hotel.

After breakfast we say goodbye to Merzouga driving to Ourzazate via Rissani, Tazarine, N’cob… In Rissani we will visit Moulay Ali Sherif’s mosque. During the route from Merzouga-Ouarzazate; we will come across many Berber villages. We will have some halts to take memorable pictures. We will stop in N’cob in a panoramic view and we go alongside Draa valley enjoying its agricultural landscape. Besides, we will go ahead through Agdez with a stop in the splendid view of Draa Valley. Finally, we continue via Anti-Atlas to arrive to Ourzazate and check into the hotel arrive to our hotel.

After having the breakfast in the hotel, we go to have a look at Cinema Studio as well as Kasbah Taourirt. Afterwards, we go ahead to Marrakech through TiziN’tichka pass. Arrive to Marrakech in late afternoon. End of our services.

  • First Aid Medical Kit(Your guide will carry the Medical Kit but we also advise to bring yourself for your own use, as far as possible)
  • All the required permits and paperwork
